Alice M. Zindler Obituary
Zindler, Alice M.
Passed away September 24, 2016. Alice was born in Baraboo, WI in 1925. After High School she moved to White Fish Bay, near Milwaukee. Alice and Fred met around 1950 and they settled in Arlington Heights, IL. They enjoyed square dancing, cycling, walking in the countryside, and opening their home. Alice was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning home-grown fruits and vegetables and she was also pursued quilting as a hobby. She played an active role in the woman's club of Our Lady of the Wayside, in Arlington Heights. She ensured that her children were inscribed in swimming lessons, scouts and catechism classes - and school of course. Her care and support of the family was paramount - and this care often extended into the neighborhood and to support youth events and fundraisers. In 1987 Fred and Alice moved to Sun Lakes, AZ. Alice became very involved with the Questers and fulfilled many leadership roles in the organisation. At St. Stephens, since the death of Fred in 1994, she played an active role in New Beginnings, a bereavement support group and the Ladies Guild. Alice had beautiful attributes of compassion, laughter, hospitality, creativity, service, friendship and love. She was a such a wonderful mom. Alice is survived by her brother, Howard; her daughter, Laurie; and her son, Randy. A service will be held at the grave site of St. Joseph's Cemetery at Walnut Hill at 11:00 on Thursday, October 8th.
