Beloved husband, father, grandfather, world traveler and history buff - passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ. Mike was born in St. Louis, MO in 1924. He is pre-deceased by the love of his life for 52 years, wife Patricia, and his children, Michael and JoAnn. He is survived by his children-Mary (Ermanno), Patricia (David), Kathleen (Gene), Susan (Kevin), Karen (Dan), William (Lauren); grandchildren- Megan (Tommy), Ryan, Leah, Justin (Rachel), Melissa (JD), Patrick, Joseph, Michael, Sam, Will, Jake, Emily, Grace; great-grandchildren-Tomas J, Madelyn, Austin, Paris, Roman. Mike served during World War II as a Merchant Marine Cadet-USNR. He received his BS in Mining Engineering from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, Rolla in 1948. He retired after 25 years with Western Electric, Phx AZ. Mike was a movie lover and avid reader in his free time. It was far and few between to catch him without a book and reading glasses in hand. Mike will always be remembered for his wit and memorable life advice, both of which never faltered even till his last moments. Service to be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Most Holy Trinity, 8620 N. 7th St. Phx, AZ 85020. Interment at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N.
