Angel Cervantes, 73, passed away peacefully in his home with his loving family surrounding him on May 12, 2007. He was a long time resident of Arizona. He was born to Angel and Alicia Cervantes on July 20, 1933 in Winslow, Arizona. Angel graduated from high school in Ashfork, AZ, attended ASU, was a Humboldt Unified School board member and retired from the FAA in Prescott, AZ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. His greatest love was for his family and golf. Angel is survived by his loving and caring wife, Irma, who never left his side for 45 years, his four children, Caroline Stutesman, Angel Cervantes Jr., (Peggy), Anthony Cervantes (Leanne), and Amelia Boyd(Andrew), his grandsons, Matthew and Mitchell Boyd, Derek Stutesman, Anthony Cervantes, and Angel and Nicholas Cervantes, his sisters, Irena Lopez (Gilbert), Feliza Apodaca(Tomas), Amelia Cervantes, 3 nieces and 3 nephews and their children. Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2007 from 5 to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:30 am at St. Jerome's Catholic Church 10815 N 35th Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
