Anna Q. Ruscitto Obituary
Ruscitto, Anna Q.
Anna Q. Ruscitto, 90, of Glendale died peacefully at home surrounded by family Tuesday, June 14. Born on Tipperary Hill in Syracuse, NY Anna was the second child of Irish immigrants who were charming, religious people. Anna's parents passed down their work ethic and love for dance to Anna as well as to their other children. While still in high school the National Youth Administration (NYA) placed Anna at Easy Washers, a war plant, where she worked as an inspector of parts during WWII. After graduating high school and business school, Anna began her career in accounting at Solvay Process Company in her hometown. Anna met and dated Frank A. Ruscitto, who lived only two blocks from her childhood home. They married after dating for five years and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1951. Anna worked in accounting, while Frank worked as an engineer and watch repairman on the side. They retired in 1981 and returned to their hometown where Anna actively volunteered at three senior centers and worked as a poll worker on Election Day. Escaping the cold winters Anna and Frank visited their daughter and son-in-law in Arizona and after four consecutive winters decided to relocate to Glendale, AZ in 1992. Anna was a member of the Irish American Club, and both Anna and Frank were active in the Deer Valley Senior Center. They also traveled cross country annually to visit their sons and family. Three words sum up Anna's life: live, love and laugh. Survivors include son Michael J. Ruscitto, wife Cheryl and son Joseph of Sennett, NY; and daughter Constance Gantz and husband Larry of Glendale, AZ; and daughter-in-law Lupe Ruscitto of Lewisville, TX. Gone but not forgotten are husband Frank and son Frank C. Ruscitto. Mass to be held Thursday, June 23, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More in Glendale, AZ, and a private burial thereafter at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to .
