Barbara Becker Behel

86, passed away on Saturday April 26, 2014 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Pauline Becker. She graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois and went on to Mills College in Oakland, California.
She married Wesley Behel in 1947. They lived in Saratoga, California where they raised 4 children and made some of their closest friends. Barbara was a volunteer in the Junior League's Speech and Hearing Clinic at Stanford University, the Saratoga Summit League, Montalvo Center for the Arts and The Girl Scouts of America. She enjoyed golf and tennis.
Barbara and Wes moved to Scottsdale in 1984, where they played golf and appreciated the great beauty of the southwest. Following Wes' death in 1997, Barbara moved to Vi at Grayhawk. While there she was able to travel, enjoy new friends and the ompanionship of Retired General Robert Fye.
Barbara was a vibrant woman, independent with a fun sense of humor and a quiet, dignified formality. She adored her family and friends and gave generously of herself to both.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Carey Behel (husband Richard Ach), sons Lee Behel and Steven Behel, grandchildren Jaime Chandler, Andrew Chandler, Katie Behel, Henry Behel, Jay Behel and Sam Ach.
