Bruner, Barbara Jean
80, of Mesa, AZ passed away on September 10, 2015 after a twelve year battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born September 7, 1935 in Ferris Township, MI to Louis and Emma [Ordaway] Barger. In 1953, Barbara graduated from Dowagiac High School and on October 25, 1954, was married to Edward Bruner in Akin, SC where he was stationed in the Army; together they had a love story romance for the next 61 years. They had two children, Julie and Fred and were also blessed with one grandson, J.T. Barbara was a big Arizona Cardinals fan, and loved flowers and plants but nothing was more important to her than family. She was a devoted wife and mother and a proud grandma; she was treasured by many friends, and those she had, were all true friends and were as good to her as she was to them; Barbara was beautiful inside and out. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Fred and her sisters Virginia and Lorraine and is survived by her beloved husband Edward Bruner; her daughter Julie (Mario) Langoni; grandson J.T. Langoni; her brothers Curly, Red, John, Clifford and Glen; sisters Alice and Marilyn; her sisters-in-law, Mary (Richard Flowers) Buschell, Jean (Larry) Tabor and Rica Semones. A visitation will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm with a funeral service immediately following on Wednesday, September 16 at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care, 400 S. Power Rd, Mesa, AZ.
