Solochek, Beatrice Natalie
Beatrice Natalie Solochek, 92, passed away in Phoenix, on August 2, 2016. Beatrice and her husband Leo Solochek recently moved to Phoenix to be closer to their children and grandchildren. The youngest and last surviving of six sisters, Beatrice was born to Helen and Isadore Fogel in Chicago, on New Year's Day, 1924. She moved to Milwaukee when she married Leo in 1952, where she dedicated herself to raising their family. Her fondest memories came from spending time with and enjoying the company of her extended family including her children and grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews, and their families. Beatrice was a fighter, a multiple cancer and stroke survivor. She is survived by her constant companion, compassionate caregiver and loving husband of 64 years, Leo; her children, Arlen (Marcia) and Cindy (Jim McVeigh), both of Phoenix, and Warren (Lisa) of Chicago; and six grandchildren, Shaina Rozen (Matthew), Lanni Solochek, Ben Solochek (Julie), Andrea Solochek, Elliott McVeigh and Quinn McVeigh. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Congregation Shalom, 7630 N Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point, Wis. The family will greet family and friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the synagogue. Kaddish and burial will be at Mound Zion Cemetery, 14400 W. North Avenue, Brookfield, Wis. Contributions in Bea's memory and honor can be made to Congregation Shalom in Fox Point, Wis, or the . Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary of Arizona.
