Friedhoff, Betty Lou
peacefully passed away December 13, 2015. Betty was born in Madison County, Kansas on June 18, 1925 to Marie and Lloyd Karn with two older sisters, Helen and Doris which all preceded her in death. Betty worked briefly, prior to marring William John Friedhoff on June 26, 1948. She moved to Arizona from Lima, Ohio in 1952 with her husband Bill and was a fulltime mother and housewife. Her life was filled with her family, three active children and boating. Active in Phoenix Power Squadron for many years, teaching several boating classes which she very much enjoyed. Betty and Bill spent many summers living on their boat and traveling with friends. After selling their boat, Betty became active in the YWCA swimming program and swam every day. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She survived by her husband William of 67 years; son Bruce wife Pat; daughter Debra, husband Tony; William, wife Jennifer. Also by nine grandchildren, Cindy Wolfe, Connie Holen, Michael Cann, Robert Friedhoff, Julie Friedhoff-Black, Bethany Mclean, Samantha Friedhoff and Danielle Friedhoff, and by 12 great grandchildren. Services and entombment, Monday December 28, 2015 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 801 East Camelback Road, Phoenix AZ, 85014 at 1 pm. Family would like to express appreciation to Sage Hospice and Palliative Care for their care of our wife, mother and grandmother.
