Sasser, Bill H.
Former long time resident of the Phoenix area, passed peacefully in hospice care at Hendersonville, NC on Friday, January 18th at the age of 73. Bill was born near London, KY on August 15, 1939 and arrived in Arizona as a small child in 1944. He graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1957 and then ASU, obtaining several degrees and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. Bill worked as an electrical engineer for Motorola GED for more than 20 years, earning several patent awards before moving to Orlando, FL and employment with Martin Marietta. Bill returned to Phoenix for several years and subsequently to Ocala, FL in 2003 and Hendersonville in late 2012. Bill was a member of Mensa and a previous member of the P4W Ranch 4-wheel drive club. Preceded in death by his father, James W. Sasser and mother Dorothy J. Sasser, he is survived by his son James P. Sasser of Hendersonville, daughter Mary C. Hill of Topeka, KS, twin sister Betty L. Scott of Scottsdale and two grandsons, Kevin and Michael Enright. Bill will return to the Four Peaks area later this year as he wished.
