Cingel, "Santa" Bob
82, passed away May 2nd, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family. Bob had an amazing and fulfilling life. He spent 29 years as a regional sales manager with Firestone to go on to his "true" passion and career with the AZ Diamondbacks, where he was surrounded by his ballpark family and friends. Bob's greatest life's work was done with a twinkle in his eye as he brought joy and magic into the hearts of many children as "Santa" for over 55 years. His journey as the big guy in red included work at the local hospital, in the community, and even on the local radio station KEZ 99.9's "Beth Show". He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and is survived by his wife, Mildred (Boyd) Cingel of 62 years, 2 daughters Jan Cingel and Sharon Gonsalez, his sister Patricia Pluto, and his loving brother in law Joe. Also surviving are his 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services are on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Chandler Bible Church, 1200 N. Price Rd, Chandler, AZ at 3:00pm. A celebration of his life will be held at his residence, 938 W. Portobello, Mesa, following services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to .
