Brian Alexander "Alex" Homsey Jr. Obituary
Homsey, Brian Alexander " Alex" Jr.
Our precious son, Alex Homsey, has found the peace he so dearly wanted and entered the gates of heaven on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Alex graduated from Mountain Ridge High School in 2007. He had a love of basketball from the age of 3 and played throughout high school. His passion continued through adulthood as he still loved to go in the backyard to see how many free throws he could make in a row. Growing up he was always laser-focused on being the best he could be and always practiced 10 times harder than anyone else to make up for his small stature. In high school, he always compensated for being one of the smallest boys by starting to workout and lift weights. His determination and work ethic helped him to achieve the muscular build he was so proud of. And by proud I mean, "Really Proud". Alex was truly one of the kindest souls and his sense of humor would fill a room with laughter and happiness. In 2011, he was diagnosed with a mental illness that at times would give him extreme happiness and clarity of the universe, but at other times it would torment his mind. Our pain is unbearable but we are comforted knowing that he is where he wanted to be, in the presence of the Lord and surrounded by an abundance of beauty and eternal life and love. He will be missed by all, his parents, Brian and Shelly; his three sisters that he proudly protected and truly adored, Megan, Jenna, and Brooke; his grandparents, Sitto and Ghiddo, Mooma and Boompa and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and the love of his life, his soulmate, Brittany Marsh. We love you Son and look forward to the day we will all be together again. A celebration of his life will be held at Christ Church of the Valley on Thursday, August 11th at 2:00 p.m. CCV 19030 N. Pima Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85255.
