Carol Hine Fry Obituary
Fry, Carol Hine
53, of Scottsdale passed away peacefully, January 31, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin on February 9, 1962 to Robert and June Hine. She began showing Saddlebred horses at the young age of 6. In 1972, the Hine family moved to Arizona where Carol attended Judson School and then Scottsdale Community College. She later worked as a medical assistant in Scottsdale and most recently was a much loved water aerobics instructor at the Camelback Village and Rancho La Puerta in Mexico. It was during her years as a medical assistant that she met the love of her life, Jeffrey Fry. They were married on June 14, 1986 and had three beautiful boys: Alex, Connor, and Noah. Carol loved being a wife, mother, and friend filling her life with volunteering, Bible study, book groups, and mostly laughter with her friends and family. She had an extraordinary gift of drawing people to her and making new friends everywhere she went. She continued to live her life to the fullest in spite of her diagnosis, remaining the person we had all fallen in love with…positive, humorous, spiritual and beautiful in her encouragement of others. She embraced her flaws openly and made it okay for us to accept and embrace our own. She loved the community she lived in and was overwhelmed by the loving support she received during her valiant battle. She may not be in our midst anymore, but her generous and loving spirit will never be gone from our hearts. Carol is going to be greatly missed by her husband, Jeff, her rock; their three sons who were the center of her world, Alex (27), Connor (24), and Noah (20); her sister, Laura Hine, Ed.D; mother-in-law, Molly Fry; sister-in-law, Jennifer Touton (Rick); sister-in-law, Mary Fry; many loving nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June (Hertz) Hine. A Memorial Service honoring Carol will be held this Friday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, followed immediately by a reception where stories and memories of Carol can be shared. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656 www.hov.org
