1927 - 2016 Obituary Condolences Gallery
Simpson, Carol June
a courageous, devoted woman of amazing faith, passed away May 11, 2016 in Paradise Valley, AZ. The daughter of Aaron Lindus and Violette May, she was born in Kansas City, KS on May 23, 1927. She moved to Kansas City MO, graduating from Northeast High School in 1944. Making her way to The Valley of the Sun by the mid 1950's, Carol worked in the banking industry in Phoenix. Not long after, she met her loving husband, spending 50 joyous, devoted years together before his passing January 24, 2012. Learning to become an accomplished seamstress at a young age, this motivation gave her the strength to perfect many more talents throughout the years. She dabbled in TriChem, ceramics and china painting, finally finding her love of quilting. Her cooking and homemade bread were second to none. There was never an empty candy dish around, and you would never see her without her turquoise jewelry on. She was a mentor for many, and will be missed and cherished by all. Among those who preceded her in death include here parents; husband Marvin Simpson and granddaughter Chandra Janes. She is survived by her children, Mindy Floyd and Andy Simpson; brother, Roy Bennett; granddaughter Willow Floyd and great granddaughter Hailey. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Sunrise Care Home and Sage Hospice. Their kindness and dignified care were comforting to all. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sage Hospice, 5111 N Scottsdale Rd, #155, Scottsdale, AZ 85250. Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later time.
