Springhorn, Catherine "Cam" (Murray)|
born January 24, 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Robert J. and Eleanor A. (Johnston) Murray, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Eckstein Center. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, she worked for many years in the hospitality industry, including the Loew's Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas where she met and married Executive Chef Ernst R. Springhorn in 1984. Together they moved to Phoenix, in 1991. Cam transferred her skills to a successful career in real estate sales-training and new home sales for Hyland-Bay, Geoffrey Edmunds, Monterey Homes, Ashton Woods and Toll Brothers, Inc., winning numerous industry awards. She and Ernst took great pleasure in their new home in the Sonoran Desert and explored the western states extensively. Recently she completed a comprehensive family genealogy history, for which her family is very grateful. Cam was a woman of outstanding warmth and cheer, known for her brilliant smile. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Ernst, sisters Mary (Robert) Courtney, Marguerite M. Berry, niece Sarah M. Courtney, (Timothy R. Mulvey) of Washington, DC and nephew Phillip M. Courtney of Scottsdale. Cam will be honored at a memorial on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Hansen Mortuary Desert Hills in Scottsdale at 10AM. Contributions may be sent to
