passed away on July 6, 2013, at age 78. He was born Dec 8, 1934, in Mobile, AL, son of Charles and Almeda Perkins, and grew up in Milton, FL. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, two daughters, Kathryn and Penelope, and a family of cats. Chuck served in the Air Force from 1954-1958, then worked at Chrysler Missile Division in Huntsville, AL, before attending Auburn University. He received his electrical engineering degree in 1964 and then moved his family to Phoenix, where he worked for Sperry Flight Systems (later Honeywell) for 37 years. He continued his education in Arizona, getting an MBA from Arizona State in 1974. Chuck was a long-time and active member of his investment club, and enjoyed reading, cycling, photography, finding a good bargain at Goodwill, and twice-yearly trips to Cancun with his wife. Chuck was quiet and thoughtful, with a good sense of humor. In his daughters, he instilled pragmatism, resourcefulness, and a love of learning. A memorial service for family and friends will be held in September.
