Charlie Brown, growing up throughout the years at my favorite place in the world, being with you and jackie on the beach were touched in so many ways, as I now progress to being an adult and serving our country I will never forget the times we had together.

Rest in peace, grandpa. You know I'll always love you. Forever. You never forgot my name. I'll never forget yours or grandma's. And, I still can't believe you're gone. I miss you so much. It happened exactly one week after my birthday. It wasn't supposed to. This Christmas was so hard. I woke up, and almost got ready to go see you. And I cried. I know you're looking down on all of us. There's one more person you're looking down on now. Your sixth great-grandchild. Lillian Nicole Brown. Every time I see her, I think of my amazing grandparents. You and grandma. I love you, Grandpa. And I just wish I would've told you that more.

I am so sad that we lost another fun loving and kind racer. Charlie was a great man and my late husband, Tripp Shumake, told me many stories about Charlie in the good ole' days. Life goes on ... but it will not be the same without our friend Charlie Brown. Susie Shumake-Anderson

Dear Family & friends of Charlie's.
It is with deep sadness that we post this notice. He will be missed, but now the angles are happy and he will teach them how to race! He was the kindness, most care giving person, and cherished and loved his family and friends above all else. He was funny and enjoyed his life to the extreme!
