Baker, Chloe Mae
Chloe Mae Baker, 81, of Sun City passed away on June 24, 2012. She was born to the late Emery and Mae Bellamy on June 20, 1931 in Jackson, OH. Chloe graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, OH in 1949 and received a BS in Education from Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, IL in 1956. She married Everett Baker on August 24, 1956 in Wapakoneta, OH. Chloe taught elementary school in Kankakee, IL; London, OH; Kansas City, MO and Kansas City, KS. She was a substitute teacher in the Peoria School System in Peoria, AZ for 22 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her role as a pastor's wife to churches in Ohio, Kansas, Oregon, and Arizona. In Oregon she began a very dynamic Women's Ministries Program for 14 years. Chloe loved to entertain. She never met a stranger. She embraced and loved everyone she met. She was an active member of the Glendale Church of the Nazarene for the past 3 years, and a member of the International Church of the Nazarene for 63 years. She was a woman of great faith throughout her life. Chloe is survived by her husband of 56 years, Everett Baker; three daughters, Susan Rold (Greg); Sherri Baker Rushlow; and Stephanie Reeser (Mark). She has 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. In addition to her parents, Chloe was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Salmons and Mary Rosengarten & two brothers, James Albert and Raney Bellamy. A memorial service celebrating Chloe's life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00AM at Glendale Church of the Nazarene, 5902 W. Cactus Road, Glendale, AZ 85304.
