I acknowledge the anniversary each year with a heavy heart. I still miss you so much, Chris.
I am the same age now that you were then. This is the year I will outlive you. This is the year I will see more things than you ever will. I would trade almost anything to stand on my tiptoes and put my cheek against your beard again. I love you, always.

I've been trying to find Chris with only a first name and disconnected phone number for 13 years. What a tragic end to my search, eh? Knowing him, even if only for a year in the 90s, influenced who I am as a person today. I've lost all the mix tapes he made for me, how very sad. It didn't even occur to me that I might never see him again.

I haven't seen you in but two years... I'm still impacted greatly on your death, Uncle Toe-Knee. But I go throughtout everyday with my head held high, knowing that your always with me. Spitting witty comments and heartfelt words no matter where you are. I love you so much, and may you rest in the most loving peace ever.

Just so you know, I think about you every single day Chris. Every day. Our prom photo is on my desk at work and I tell you hello every day. I sat on my phone this week and it tried to call you. I can't even delete your number.
I miss you. More than you ever thought I could.

Such a young life cut so short! Although I didn't know Chris, I wanted to say to the family take comfort in knowing you have the wonderful prospect of seeing Chris again soon because of what Jesus promised at John 5:28-29. Please draw strength from that.

Chris Page gave a thoughtful and honest voice to the arts community in this city. A voice this city needed, and with his passing, an irreplaceable void has been left behind. His many contributions to theatre go so far beyond simply making his mark as a respected, well read, very fine critic. He truly believed in the community in which he reviewed. He helped foster an ever growing arts community with every story he published and believed with true optimism, that it could be better.
The loss of Chris is a loss for the arts community entire. This is a loss for all of us who believed like him, that theatre is vital to our community and is deserving of it's place within the media. Things will not be the same without Chris's voice.
Chris meant so much to me. He was a steadfast supporter of my work around the valley. I hope he knows how very appreciative I will always be of his genuinely kind words (both on and off the record) for me throughout the years.
I will miss him dearly. To his family and close friends, I send my deepest sympathy. I am so sorry for your loss.
Please know that Chris will be remembered as who he was; a good man, who did such good. My thoughts are will you, Page Family.

Chris made the longest, hottest, most difficult summer bearable — even enjoyable. His wit was unmatched, his vocabulary top-notch and his joie de vivre both palpable and contagious. I will remember his confidence and his voice, his ability to make even the most mundane things fun. My sincerest condolences to his close friends and family — we were all lucky to have known him.

Knowing Chris was one of the best aspects of my year in Bakersfield. He was prodigiously witty and gifted, with a genius for friendship and conversation -- people were visibly happier when he came into a room.
The world is a poorer place without him.

i don't know if there's a way to really say this right. chris was one of maybe four people in town who genuinely thought what we were doing was newsworthy. that alone meant the world to us no matter what he thought of the result. beyond reviewing, he made the case to feature us in an east valley paper - even though we were phoenix based - beyond the "review" - which meant even more. as a company, we wish one of us could represent at the services tomorrow. to his family and friends...our hearts and thoughts are with you and we wish beyond wishing we could be there in person to express our collective love and appreciation. as it stands...we send all the love and well wishes an entry like this can possibly withstand. all our best...

To Chris's family....As you have read he will be missed by many, many people. Chris was so optamistic and fun to be around. He helped me through a tough time in my life. He was always so fun and willing to help out ALWAYS! I even got him to cover shifts at the coffee shop I managed even though he wasnt an employee. In only the short time I knew Chris through work, he was always a welcoming face to see during the day and someone you could always count on for a laugh. He was really accepting when I joined the crew of their close-knit news group that year. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and the Get Out group who got to know and work with him.

To Chris' family,
I remember first meeting Chris as a charming kid working at the print shop on 24th & Eye, while he was writing the Under 21 column for The Bakersfield Californian, and then later writing the Music Notes/Sound Check column, while covering the Entertainment beat at The Californian. Over the years he became a friend and trusted business colleague. What a talented individual, whose FUN personality, unique observations and creative contributions will be sorely missed.
My heart goes out to Chris and family...
