Claudney Stevens Obituary
Claudney Lee Stevens passed from this world into eternal life on April 28, 2009 in Glendale, AZ. Claudney was born July 16, 1911 to Dora and George Kirkpatrick in Benton, IL. Claudney and her family moved to the Valley of the Sun in 1918. She was a grocery clerk for over 25 yrs at Safeway and Carney's Market in Glendale. Claudney is survived by her devoted children Aletha Deuel and Myron (Joyce) Stevens; daughter-in-law Erma Lee; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Claude Stevens and their son Leldon and son-in-law Leroy Deuel. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 10:00 am at Glendale Light and Life Church, 6331 W. Lamar Rd., Glendale, AZ. Burial will follow at 12:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, AZ. A reception will follow at the church. Care entrusted to Phoenix Memorial Mortuary.
