Danuel Glenn Allen, 57, a Mesa native, lost his courageous battle on Sept. 11, 2006 at home in Mesa surrounded by his loving family. Born on Jan. 14, 1949, Dan was the oldest child of J. Glen Allen and Connie Raisor. Dan is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Trent (Rachelle), Shane (Kristi), Conrad (Angela), Shelene (Jared) Cooley, Dason (Danelle) and Aaron. He is the proud "Papa Dan" to his 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Connie Raisor and his sisters, Janice (Wylie) Reed, Joanne (Sam) Warren, Margie Crawford, and Judy (Paul) Pedersen, as well as many extended family members. His greatest joy in this life was with his family. His wonderful, kind spirit will be greatly missed. His abiding faith and testimony were a strength to many. It was that amazing strength that made it possible for him to endure to the end. He was the proud recipient of a donor heart on Mother's Day of this year. As a family we want to thank the doctors and nurses at University Medical Center in Tucson. With that in mind, his family would encourage friends and family to become an organ donor in Dan's memory at donatelife.net. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 15, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1345 E. University, Mesa, AZ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1345 E. University, Mesa, AZ. Arrangements entrusted to Bunker's Garden Chapel, 480-964-8686
