She was born to Fred and Esther Hallberg on November 2, 1928, in a small farm house outside of Clark, South Dakota. Cyd moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1959, where she met and married Tom Muchmore in 1963. Together, they raised their blended family of five children, built a successful real estate company, and developed many life-long friendships. Cyd and Tom settled in Scottsdale, AZ in 1999 among loving family, friends, and great shopping! Cyd's amazing decorating and artistic abilities reflected her heart, warm and welcoming. Many wonderful memories were created when Cyd was on the piano! She was predeceased by Tom, her husband of 51 years, and her brother, Don Hallberg. Cyd is survived by her sons, Steve Sumption, Brad Sumption, Chuck (Leslie) Muchmore, Doug Muchmore; her daughter, Kim (John) Cowdrey; grandchildren, Kelly Muchmore, Milessa (Jed) Muchmore Lowrie, David (Anna) Cowdrey, Shealee (Dan) Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Connor Muchmore, Saige Lowrie, Kinter Rose, Lyon Ferguson; sister-in-laws, Jean Wise, Betty Reiling, Dodie Beshears, Lorene Hallberg; nieces, nephews, and many beautiful friends she loved like family. A woman of beauty, grace, and gratitude, Cyd was an inspiration and her love lives on. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 20th, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix.
