Obituary Condolences

Hill, David B.
75, of Rocky Mount, VA, passed away on March 18, 2013 in Taipai, Taiwan where he had lived for the past 10 years. Born on October 26, 1937 to Edward L. and Ellen Satterlee Hill, he was raised in Vestal, NY. He graduated from Vestal High School in 1955, earned a bachelors degree in education from State University of New York at Cortland in 1960 as well as a masters degree from SUNY Cortland. On June 29, 1963 he married Charlotte Ullery in Moravia, NY. He taught in the fields of English, Speech, and Communications at the middle school, high school, and college levels. Having lived many years in Morrisville, NY, he moved to Arizona in the late 1970's. He retired in 1994 as a long time employee of the City of Mesa, AZ. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Louis E. Hill. David is survived by daughter Kimberly Weinschreider (Gregg) of Rocky Mount, VA, son Deryck Hill (Shannon) of Bethesda, MD, brother M. Richard Hill of Windsor, NY, 6 grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew. He is also survived by special friend Tsuhsin Lin of Taipai, Taiwan. Dave enjoyed the performing arts, the outdoors, working with the underprivileged, as well as watching sports, especially auto racing. A memorial service will be held in Taipei, Taiwan.
