Alexander, David E. Jr.
66, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on September 3, 2012. He grew up in Rochester, NY where he attended Henrietta High School and later served in the U.S. Navy Seabees. His quick wit and great humor are affectionately remembered along with his avid love of the water and exceptional culinary delights he generously shared. He found great pleasure in movie trivia, adventures, building models, hot rods, getting a bargain and spoiling the dog. David became a kidney transplant recipient in 1996 which changed his life. He encouraged others to become an organ donor. In lieu of flowers, he would be honored if donations were sent to the Kidney Foundation http://www.kidney.org/ He is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons Ryan (Kristin) Alexander, Sean Mumper, Steven Mumper, Michael (Michelle) Marturano and daughter Christine Marturano, five grandchildren, sister Alisann (Terry) Collins, niece Katherine (Brian) Lucas, one grand nephew, several cousins and life-long friends. He loved the Lord and volunteered as a bus driver at the Desert Christian Fellowship Church where he was a member. A memorial service will be held at the church located at 1445 W. Northern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021 on Saturday, September 29th at 12:00 p.m.
