Carbajal, Eddie Eugene
57, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on November 1st, 2015, after a bold fight against cancer. Eddie was born in Phoenix on September 9th, 1958 to Eugene M. Carbajal & Leonora Carbajal (Licano). He was the second child of three and their only son. Eddie grew up in Phoenix, attending P. T. Coe Elementary, until he moved with his family to the Buckeye area in 1970. Upon graduation from Buckeye Union High School in 1976, Eddie enlisted in the U.S. Army with his best friend, Frank Bon. He was trained as a precision machinist and was stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana. At the end of his enlistment, Eddie was able to transfer the skills he learned in the Army and obtain employment with the Parker-Hannifin Corporation. Eddie had a career with Parker for over 30 years in Arizona and California, where he made many friends among his co-workers. Eddie was a devoted supporter of Arizona sports and took any opportunity to watch and cheer for the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, Suns, or Rattlers. However, his true passion was professional boxing. He is survived by his Mother, Leonora and two sisters, Audrey (Don) Mitchell of Las Vegas and Jeralyn Montoya of Chandler. In addition to his Mother and sisters, Eddie had three nieces and one nephew, seven great-nephews and one great-niece. A celebration of life memorial is scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, November 21st at Skyway Church, 14900 W. Van Buren St. Goodyear, AZ 85388. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 23rd at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road. Phoenix, AZ 85024
