Oldenburg, Edward Kimball
62, of Apache Junction, passed away on
August 25, 2013, his devoted children, son (Aaron Oldenburg) and daughter (Sarah Oldenburg), were at his side, along with their mother Mary (Troyer) Oldenburg. Edward was born on October 17, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, To Elwyn "Al" and Gladys "Pal" (Gilliland) Oldenburg. Survivors include Ed's parents, Al and Donna Oldenburg from Weatherby Lake, MO and Pal DeJarnatt from Mesa, AZ, sister (Shirley Goodman of Gilbert, AZ), brother (Tom Oldenburg of Parkville, MO), uncles and aunts (Jim and Kay Gilliland of Platte City, MO), (Dorothy and Pete Cook of Kansas City, MO), (Ed Oldenburg of Thousand Oaks, CA), (Betty Helen Oldenburg of Kansas City, MO). He has 1 nephew and 3 nieces, 4 grandchildren with 2 more expected in January. Ed began his grade school years in Parkville, MO. He moved with his family to Mesa, Arizona in 1964. He graduated from Westwood High School, Mesa, AZ in 1968. His primary employment was with Bill's Awnings and Construction Co. of Apache Junction as carpenter, estimator and General Manager. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling and stargazing. He was dedicated to his family. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. On September 21, 2013, at 5pm there will be a "Farewell to Ed". We will gather at the base of the Superstition Mountains on Peralta Trail, (one mile past Kings Ranch Road) in Gold Canyon at which time his ashes will be spread.
