Elaine Z. Allison, 75, of Chandler, AZ, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 18, 2008 in Gilbert. Elaine was born July 17, 1932 in Trenton, NJ. She and her husband, the late Edward Alfred Allison, moved to Arizona in the mid 1970's. She had worked as an accountant for the states of New Jersey and Arizona and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Elaine was a woman of faith who was active in her church, Church of the Holy Spirit, and also volunteered many hours at the Andre House feeding the homeless. In her spare time she loved to play bingo. She will be deeply missed by her children, Barbie (Iain) Sproull of Georgetown, TX and Tom (Connie) Allison of Chandler; a brother Edward Zamonski of NC along with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 am, with visitation at 10:00 am, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1800 E. Libra Dr., Tempe. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Phoenix. Contributions may be made in Elaine's name to Holy Spirit Church or to the Andre House, PO Box 2014, Phoenix, AZ 85001-2014.
