Our Heavenly Father called Elizabeth Louise Hentz-Flynn home to her eternal reward on April 3rd, 2016. She is survived by her son Patrick Flynn and his wife Deborah; daughter Mary Hodges and her husband Jeffrey; and 5 grandchildren; Marie, Nicholas and Bridget Hodges; Madeleine and Ryan Flynn. She also leaves behind a brother George Hentz and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Deacon Patrick Flynn, parents George and Caroline, brothers Paul and Clarence and her sister Mary Catherine. Born in Hamilton OH in 1932, she graduated in 1950 from Notre Dame High School. She worked as a secretary at the Hamilton Foundry until 1953 when she moved with her family to Arizona. She worked at Arizona Agrochem until she met and married Patrick Flynn in 1964. She was a homemaker until 1984 when she returned to work as an executive assistant for the American Graduate School of International Management and subsequently Honeywell International where she retired. A devout Catholic, she volunteered at St. Joseph's hospital, taught Religious Education and participated in fund raising for multiple Catholic organizations such as the Serra International, Rosary Sunday and St. Vincent De Paul. She enjoyed attending daily mass, holy hour, praying the Rosary and socializing with her friends from Church. She also found joy in her daily coffee and donut break along with watching sports and cheering for her favorite college team, Notre Dame. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home, 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ 85204. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85044 with interment to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charities she served; "St. Vincent de Paul" (call 602-266-4483) or the "Diocese of Phoenix Office of Vocations" (mail donations to the Office of Vocations, Diocese of Phoenix, 400 E.
