McDowell, Emma Pauline Martineau
Born 27 December, 1940 in St. David, Arizona, passed away Wednesday February 24 2016 in Mesa, Arizona. Twin of Mary Judd and Lynn Ernest Martineau. Survived by her twin brother, Jerry Lynn Martineau, step father Gary Geldmacher, her husband, Jesse Newton McDowell of 55 years, sons, David (Janell), Robert (Angie), Mark (Laura), daughters, Teri (Brett) Sandstom, Jennifer. 16 grandchildren, 1 great grand child. Attended Carlsbad, New Mexico High School, and graduated Alamogordo, New Mexico High School. Attended B.Y.U. Pauline was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and served in many capacities throughout her life. Pauline and Jesse served 2 missions in Ghana Accra West Africa. 3 years as L.D.S Charities Immunization Specialists in Ghana and Sierra Leone. Served 2 Church Service Missions in Employment and Family Search. She loves her church, family and friends. She enjoyed camping, nature, bird watching with Jesse, gardening, bread making and solar oven cooking. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother she will be missed. Visitations will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M. Monday February 29, 2016 at the Alta Mesa Stake Center, 5350 E. McLellan Road, Mesa, AZ. 85205. In lieu of flowers donate to the L.D.S. Church Perpetual Education Fund.
