Estella Sanchez Salcido Obituary
Salcido, Estella Sanchez
mother, sister, Nana and friend, passed away Tuesday the 19th of April at the home of her eldest son, Hank Salcido. She died peacefully of natural causes and was surrounded by family. Estella was born in 1929 in Phoenix, Arizona and was the oldest of 9 children. She spent most of her days raising four loving and caring children. As her children grew older and started families of their own, Estella began giving back to her community by volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul as well as at the Dental Clinic at Memorial Hospital. She loved her family and friends and was always true to her faith. She enjoyed cooking for everyone and even gave up a fight when her children and grandchildren had to take over the cooking duties in her later years. She spent her entire life giving all the love she had to her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. Her heart was full and to see her face light up when her grandkids came to visit is an image that will stay in the hearts and minds of everyone she loved. She is survived by her three sons; Hank, Phil, and Ted, daughter Vivian, along with 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held May 14, 2016, at 11:00AM at St. James, 19640 N 35th Ave, Glendale AZ. A reception with family and friends will follow.
