Turman, Fred Douglas
Was born September 13th to Rossie E. Turman Sr. and Clydia L. Hubbard Turman in 1948 in Santa Monica Hospital which later became Memorial Hospital. He passed into eternity early on the morning of September 5, 2015. He lived his entire life in central Phoenix. He attended Phoenix Elementary School District #1 schools and graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1966. He attended Phoenix College in 1966 and 1967. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, Rossie E. Turman Jr. He is survived by two (2) sisters, Beverly V. Hunter, wife of Gerald Hunter who was more of a brother than a brother-in-law to Fred, and Vestula T. Turman and one (1) brother, Virgil R. Turman, all of Phoenix, along with ten (10) nieces and nephews, especially Rossi E. Turman III, Esq. of New York City and Charlotte V. Hunter Brown M.P.A. of Stockton, California who were crucial in arranging his final care. He also has nine (9) grand nieces and nephews as well as five (5) great grand nieces and nephews. He loved his nieces and nephews and though he possessed little, he generously shared what he had with them. Often this took the form of him cooking some tasty morsel just for them. The family greatly appreciates the compassionate care provided for Fred and the family by .
