Gabriel N. Papagalos, age 98 passed away November 25, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ. Gabriel was born August 13, 1917 in Pittsburg, PA to Nick and Katherine Papagalos. He served in the United States Army during WWII and served in the Army Reserve until his retirement. He married Helen on October 27, 1946. Gabriel was highly decorated and was the recipient of the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He retired as a Colonel. Gabriel taught 8th grade and music in the Osborn School District and was Assistant Principal at Grandview Elementary School. Gabriel is preceded in death by his wife Helen, sister Domina and brother John. He is survived by his daughter Tina and her husband George Zannis, his son Nicholas and his wife Ann Papagalos, and 3 grandchildren Anthea Zannis, Aaron Papagalos and Lauren Papagalos. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. with a Trisagion service at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Cathedral. The Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Cathedral, 1973 E. Maryland, Phoenix with interment and military honors to follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens in
