Love, Gano W.
87, joined Kirsti his beloved wife of 65 years in heaven on the morning of August 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Gano was a devoted and caring husband, father and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was born March 24, 1928 in Wellington, Texas. From a young age to his last day, Gano was the example of a positive, courageous and loving spirit. He began his work life with the Southern Pacific Railroad, moving to a position as salesman and regional manager for Child's World books, and for over 50 years had a successful career as a real estate broker. He will be remembered in the community as an integral part of the growth of his beloved Phoenix, and Arizona State. Gano was predeceased by his parents and sister, Norma Vaughn. Gano leaves behind his adoring daughters and sons-in-law, Anja (Ray) Segerman, Kim Love, Tina (Dave) Bakke, Valerie (Joe) Marciano, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 nephews, Kenneth Vaughn, Kevin Vaughn and Kelly Vaughn. The family extends special appreciation to the staff at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital and Hospice of the Valley Sherman Home for the kindness shown in his care. A celebration of Gano's life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Maryland, Phoenix, AZ 85015, with visitation at 9:00 AM and the funeral service to immediately follow at 10:00 AM. Burial at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
