Cain, Helen J.
Helen J. Cain 77, of Buckeye, AZ, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 4, 2015. She was born in Phoenix, AZ on September 5, 1937 and was raised in central Phoenix and attended West High School. Helen served God faithfully for many years and attended The Avondale Church of God. She found great enjoyment in tending to her outdoor plants and cactus garden. She had a desire to learn about history and current events which she loved to share with others. Her knowledge came from the many books she owned and enjoyed reading. She had a soft spot for the homeless kittens that would show up on her doorstep and always made sure they had full tummies. Her kindness was felt around the neighborhood. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Richard Smith and Betty Melon, and baby sister. She married the love of her life Dale Cain Sr. in 1953 and they were married for 61 years. She is survived by her husband Dale Cain Sr., son Dale Cain Jr., daughter Betty Albert (Jerry Jr.), three grandchildren Jerry Albert III (Angelica), Jessica Albert, and Melissa Albert. She has three great-grandchildren Morgan, Zachary, and Isaac Albert. She also leaves behind a beloved sister Ella Ann Crain and nephews and a niece. A Visitation will be 10:00am, Tuesday September 15, 2015 with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 am. at The Avondale Church of God which is located at 2605 N. Avondale Blvd., Avondale, AZ 85323. The Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren Street, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Please visit www.greenwoodmemorylawn.com to leave Helen's family online condolence messages.
