Tulloch, James M.
James M. Tulloch, age 92, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, November 12, 2016. Jim was born in Racine, WI on March 5, 1924 to Thomas and Mabel Tulloch. He graduated from Racine (WI) Park High School in 1941 and joined the United States Army in 1942. Before beginning his service to his country during World War II, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Jordan in 1943. Jim and Shirley were married nearly 66 years before Shirley's death in February, 2009. After his military service, Jim completed his college degree at Carlton College in Minnesota. Jim enjoyed a successful career in the insurance industry, retiring as President of Dairyland Insurance Company. What defined Jim's life was his love of God and his Christian faith. Jim served faithfully on the Deacon and Elder Boards at several churches, on the Board of Regents at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and the Board of Trustees and Chairman Emeritus at Southwestern College in Phoenix, AZ. Jim also loved teaching Sunday School classes to 6th graders. Jim and Shirley had 3 children; Tara (Peter) Greenwood of Aldie, VA; Scott (Dianne) Tulloch of Jenison, MI; and Gail Johannesen of Aurora, CO. Also surviving are Jim's grandchildren; Carl (Jodi) Glienke, Christopher (Tara) Glienke, Amy (Mike) Owen; Joshua Johannesen, Jacob Johannesen, and Kristen Johannesen, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his brother Thomas of Racine, WI. A service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at Grace Bible Church, 19280 N. 99th Avenue, Sun City West, AZ on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 10:00AM, Pastor Bill Bjork presiding. Memorials may be sent to Grace Bible Church.
