Agnes Jeanette Lester, 95, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2016. Born June 2, 1921 in Findlay, IL to Willard H and Nellie Snapp. Her family moved to Phoenix in 1935 for her father's health. She was a 1939 graduate of Phoenix Union High School. Jeanette met the love of her life at Central Methodist Church in downtown Phoenix in 1939. William J. "Bill" Lester Jr and she were married in that same church they met at on July 12, 1941. Her husband Bill was in the Phoenix radio business for 42 years while Jeanette spent much of their 65 year marriage planning, designing, building, improving and enjoying their 2nd home north of Payson, AZ, as well as raising their three children. Bill preceded Jeanette in death in 2007. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, K Diane Haddock of Fernandina Beach, Florida; son, William (Bill) J. Lester III of Glendale, AZ; and daughter, C Janel Croy of Mesa, AZ; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix 85020, with visitation an hour before. Donations in her name can be made to
