Obituary Condolences

Namanny, Jeffrey A. Sr.
age 46 of Phoenix, AZ, son of Veloy Habinck of Camp Verde/Glendale Arizona, passed away on November 10th 2015. Jeff was born on August 21, 1969 in Toledo, Ohio. He was a talented artist, fabulous chef, skilled carpenter and writer. He loved hiking at White Tank Mountains and biking until disability with his back prevented him from strenuous activity. He also enjoyed reading classical literature, and was a big fan of Stephen King and sci-fi/horror movies. He was preceded in death by sister, Jennifer Habinck, grandparents Peg and Leslie Babcock and Duke Hopkins, and uncle Craig Hopkins. He is survived by his mother, Veloy Habinck, his four sisters
Deborah Allen, Emily Habinck (spouse Terry), Hope Sandler (spouse Lyle) and Jacki Elledge (spouse Clay), two children Jeffrey Namanny Jr. (engaged to Larissa), and Paige Namanny, newborn granddaughter Laiken Namanny, uncles Doug Hopkins (spouse Lisa) and Joe Hopkins (spouse Larene) and niece Georgia Allen as well as many loving cousins. Jeff was diagnosed with Schizoaffective and personality disorders and struggled with that for many years. His recovery was reaching a peaceful state near the end of his short life. We, as a family, encourage you to support your mentally ill loved ones as we did for Jeff. People with these types of illnesses often go into a psychotic state, it is more frightening for the person experiencing it than it is for us. To support someone with mental illness just listening is a start to the process. Visit IWillListen.org. for more information. There are also other resources such as the Crisis Line if a loved one is experiencing a crisis as Jeff often did, they are very helpful and can be reached at 1-800-631-1314, and for a non-emergency the Warm Line is available at 602-347-1100. Jeff regularly attended CHEEERS recovery center in Phoenix for peer-support. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the family or NAMI of Arizona, at NAMIAZ.org or CHEEERS recovery center at 1950 W Heatherbrae Drive, Suite 5, Phoenix, AZ 85015. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday November 19, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm at Advantage Funeral Home at 4141 N 19th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85015, followed by a memorial service from 1 pm to 2 pm. Cremation will take place and his ashes will be spread at White Tank Mountains, Waterfall Trail, and Ida Grove, Iowa at a future date. Rest in peace Jeffer, Jed, Jedi and Jed Head. We love you and will miss your smile, sense of humor, but most of all, your beautiful soul!
