Groseth, Jeffrey K.
Jeffrey K. Groseth passed away unexpectedly at his home in Gilbert at the age of 50 on August 2. Jeff was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and cat owner. Jeff often spoke of the wonderful life he had growing up in Scottsdale and how fortunate he was to have the family, friends, teachers and friends from his work and music experiences that were part of his life. He graduated from Scottsdale High School in 1983 and from ASU with a BA in music in 1989. The piano and keyboard were his instruments of choice. Jeff favored working as a member of contemporary church bands, however, for the last 18 years of his life he worked as a computer software programmer in IT departments. Jeff never lost his love for learning and did extensive reading and research while continuing with his music. Jeff is survived by his mother, Janeen Bailey; brother and sister-in-law, Kit and Donna Groseth; nephew, Grant Groseth; step-mother Carol Groseth, brother, Robb Groseth; uncle and aunt, Cullen and Karen Hollister; and dear friend, Lynn Scott along with many others in his life. He was predeceased by this father, Gary W. Groseth; step-father, Wayne Bailey; grandparents, Milton and Helen Hollister; and Gordon and Gretchen Groseth. A private service has been held and Jeff's remains are interred in the Memorial Garden at Valley Presbyterian Church. Jeff will be sorely missed and in our hearts forever.
