Jerald Wayne Mangis

1945 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
Mangis, Jerald Wayne
Jerald Wayne (Bubba) Mangis, passed away on March 31, 2016. Jerry was born in Evansville, IN on March 20, 1945 to Warner C and Mary W Mangis. He spent the majority of his career as a gauge design engineer for Honeywell and more recently as owner of Mangis Design Engineering. He retired from this field in March 2011. A normally quiet man, Jerry was known for his sense of humor and "repeat joke telling" (did you hear the one about 2 choices)? He was an avid Peyton Manning fan and enjoyed playing golf and hosting back yard parties for friends and family. On any given Sunday, you could find him sleeping thru either a football game or a golf match. Always the planner, Jerry's motto was "I can do it myself". Home repair, home upgrades and working on things to invent were some of his hobbies. Jerry was especially proud of the progress that he had made over the past 15 years in working on his 1956 Porsche. Jerry is survived by his wife Joanne; two sisters: Nancy Jacot (Bob) and Sara France; daughter Dawn Kuelling (Jeff), sons Brian Mangis, Patrick Drake and David Drake (Lindsay); granddaughters Jennifer Hatfield (Chris), Marina Romero, and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202. To share a memory with Jerald's family please visit www.lakeshoremort.com
