Jerald Winston Scorse Obituary
Scorse, Jerald Winston
Our amazing father and family patriarch peacefully left this life to join his ancestors and our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of Monday, November 30th. Jerald was comfortably surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Merriam, Kansas. Jerald was born in the town of Abilene, Texas on July 9th, 1943 to Winston Churchill Scorse and Aleen Hatch Scorse. He married Shirley Ann Busby on June 11th, 1965 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Together they raised 6 children, Rosanne, Michelle, Scott, Sherri, Traci and Jamie. Jerald's whole life was dedicated to the loving care of his family. He worked hard to provide and served in many positions in the banking industry. He was a wonderful example to his family of what a husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend should be. He was always happy to see you and greeted everyone with a firm hand shake or hug accompanied with a huge smile. A man of unblemished character, he quietly and willingly served The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints wherever and whenever called, including missionary work in London, England and bishop in Woodruff, Arizona. He showed unconditional love to all he knew and was extremely unselfish with his time and possessions. Happily married fifty years, Jerald is survived by his sweet wife Shirley Ann Busby, and his six children, Rosanne & Martin Fisher, Michelle & Eric Moore, Scott & Alisa Scorse, Sherri & Tom Bundy, Traci & Will Arnett, and Jamie & Carey Vincent. His posterity numbers thirty-eight at this time and includes twenty-two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
