Turner, Jesse Huntley Jr.
Jesse H Turner Jr. of Scottsdale Arizona passed away at age 86, September 7, 2015, at Honor Health Thompson Peak with his family by his side. Jesse was born to Jesse Huntley Turner Sr. and Annie Lee (Broaddus) February 16, 1929 in Brownwood, TX. In 1952 he married Joan Hayman and together they had 3 children. They divorced in 1964. Jesse married Janet Marie Morris in 1981. Jesse attended Texas A&M University as a Corp Cadet. He was a pilot in the Air Force serving his country during the Korean War era. He began his career in the family oil business and later retired as a VPGM with Paine Webber. He served as President of the Scottsdale
Airport Commission and was involved in the implementation of artwork on Scottsdale freeways. He was also an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. Jesse is survived by his wife Janet, mother in law Madeline Snell, brother Reverend Joseph Lee Turner (Pat), stepsister Margaret Coleman, children Jean Anne Cerkoney (Richard), Mary Elizabeth Roman (Jess), Huntley Turner (Arlene) grandchildren Kristopher Schatzberg, Jesse Huntley Roman (Brittany), Allison Roman, Lauren Jung (Kyle) and Lindsay Turner and great granddaughters Isabelle Roman and Emerson Jung. He was predeceased by his parents. Memorial services will be held on September 17 2015, 1:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Scottsdale AZ and September 26 2015, 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell TX.
