John Benjamin Barber was born to Owen Leroy Barber and Hattie Bryson Barber, September 18, 1920 in Bountiful, Utah. He married Helen Louise Clore, November 11, 1942. Helen passed away March 27, 2000. John served his country in the Pacific Theater and was a Master Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge. John & Helen moved to Arizona in 1948 and built their home in Apache Junction in 1966. John was a real estate broker in the Phoenix & Apache Junction area for over 25 years. John was an avid conservative Republican and Diamondbacks booster. One of his greatest joys was the Diamondbacks success in the 2001 World Series. John is survived by his sister, Jeanne Kesler of Ogden, Utah, his nephew, Steven Ruppert, whom he considered his son and the children of his brother & sisters. At John's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, John would have been pleased to know donations were made in his memory to local Boy Scout groups or Little League Baseball teams. Arrangements handled by Bunker's Desert View Chapel.
