Woods, John Curtis Sr.
age 92 of Sun Lakes Arizona went to be with our Lord on June 27, 2014. He was born in Oneida, NY on February 3, 1922, the son of George Edwin Woods and Charlotte Salm. He married Lila S. Woods in 1960 and they raised five children and 10 grandchildren all of whom survive. He graduated from Stockbridge Valley High School. He was general manager of Queensboro Farms in upstate NY for 35 years. He retired in 1984 to Arizona and enjoyed a very active life of golfing, fishing, traveling and being with family. He attended classes at Cornell and Penn State on dairy management and manufacturing. John served honorable in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was president at the central N. Y. Dairy and Food Sanitation Association, chairman of the Health & Welfare board of management, and teamsters union. He served on the boards of the Village of Oneida Castle, Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pinetop Arizona homeowners association and charter member of Kanon Valley Country Club. He is predeceased by two brothers, George and Warren and a sister Belva Murray.
