Vise, John L.
80, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on April 26, 2016 at the Eckstein Center Hospice of the Valley. John was born on July 8, 1935 to Burley and Olive Vise. He was the eighth of eight children. John attended Phoenix Union High School and Phoenix College He graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and completed further graduate studies at ASU. He was a member of the Arizona National Guard for eight years. Fresh out of ASU, John began his career at Salt River Project and later Del Webb. Moving on, he worked for Mardian Construction as Vice President, treasurer and controller for sixteen years. He worked for Delta Electrical and Air Conditioning as Vice President and controller for over twenty years until he retired at age 73. In 1958 John and his wife, Diane, moved from Phoenix to Scottsdale and raised their family of three children and were active in the Scottsdale Aquatics Swim Club. They were members of Christ Church of the Ascension for over forty years. John lived his entire life in Arizona. He enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time at his mountain home in Pinetop. John will be remembered by many as a very gentle, kind, generous and loving man with a sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and was an avid reader, especially the history of the west and Arizona. He enjoyed his grandchildren and helping his wife in their rose garden. John is survived by Diane, his loving wife of 59 years, sons John R. and wife Kerri of Scottsdale, Stephen and his wife Roxanne of Scottsdale and daughter Pamela and her husband Gary Daughdrill of Tampa, Florida. He had six grandchildren; John A., Chelsea, Ashlee, S. Skyler, Ursula and Alyssa. A private family service will be held in his honor. Donations may be made in his memory to Alzheimer's Disease Research.
