78, passed away February 2, 2016. John was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, April 1, 1937. He is preceded in death by his parents Sarah (Candino) and Frank Oliveri and his niece, Andrea Oliveri. He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Janice), and nephew, Joseph F. (Suzanne) and great-niece/nephews. John graduated from Seton Hall University in 1959 with a BS in Chemistry. Thereafter, he served six years active and reservist duty in the U.S. Army MEDS. Throughout his chemical engineering career, John worked in the speciality and compressed gas industry which included the handling and analysis of cryogenic liquids, toxic and corrosive gases, with a substantial background in organic and precious metals analysis. While with Aire Liquide, John created and implemented a quality program which garnered the first ISO 9002 plant certification in the USA. Not only did he design and set up speciality gas plants, he provided technical sales support; trained plant staff in procedures and safety; and designed and programmed stand alone automated analytical packages which increased plant productivity. John's career and personal interests took him around the world. Upon retirement, John made his home in Anthem. His Arizona family includes many close friends who valued his humor and treasured "Johnny O" as a unique presence in their lives.
