Wisniewski, Joseph Michael
84, died March 10, 2016 at Premier Hospice in Phoenix, AZ after a brief illness. Joe was born in Nanty-Glo, Pennsylvania on September 26, 1931 to the late Stanley and Bessie (Bertha Kuboski) Wisniewski. He graduated from Ebensburg Cambria High School in Ebensburg, PA in 1950. He was married 58 years, raised four children and lived in Phoenix since 1963. He is survived by his 3 sons, Joseph Jr., David and Kim Frederick, all of Phoenix; granddaughters, Morgan Wisniewski and Emily Anthony.; a brother Andrew Adam Wisniewski of Nanty-Glo, PA and many nieces and nephews in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Gretz) and daughter, Jane Malinda Wisniewski; 4 brothers, John, Chester, Felix (Phil), Henry and 2 sisters, Helen and Nun, Sister Ancilla. Joe enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in Oct. 1952 and was honorably discharged in Oct. 1960. His sea travels took him to many locations throughout the world. Before moving to Phoenix, Joe was employed at an auto plant in Cleveland, OH. After arriving in Phoenix, he trained as a Barber and opened a Barbershop, meeting many interesting clients. He then worked for Gosnell in the engineering department at the Pointe Resort. Family and friends will remember Joe's gentle spirit, humor, beautiful smile and laugh. He will be missed. Visitation will be held Monday, March 14, from 7 to 9pm at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Entombment ceremony will be at 10:30am Tuesday, March 15, at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
