3-14- 26 - 3-1- 13. A woman of rare beauty, Joy was born in Chicago and moved to Az with her parents: J Leslie and Doris M Hansen, in 1946. After one year at the U of Illinois (Champaign) she graduated from ASU in 1949. She then moved to Tucson and taught elementary school while her husband completed his doctorate. They then moved to Bozeman Mt, where she continued to teach school and he was a professor at Montana State U. Then they moved to Los Angeles where he practiced industrial psychology. Later, they moved back to Phoenix where she raised her family. Circa 1990, she and Clarence Brown moved to Lake San Marcos Calif, which is where she was living when she passed away. Joy was an accomplished tennis player, but had to give it up in her 80's because of failing eyesight. She was predeceased by all three husband, Kyle K Pierce lll, Ph d, Marvin Golub and Clarence Brown. She is survived by her daughter: Kyle Kay Pierce (Del Roy Reid), her son Cameron Brigham Pierce (Elizabeth) and her step son Kenneth Brown (Vada), two grand daughters, Sheila and Lindsay Pierce and a great grandson, Cole Pierce. She is also survived by all three siblings: M Leslie Hansen (Madeline), Joan Gorges (Alan, dec'd) and John T Hansen (Nina "Kelley" dec'd).
