Trowbridge, Juanita M.
April 25, 1933 - December 22, 2015. Juanita Mae Trowbridge, 82 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Hickory Ridge Nursing Home in Temperance, Michigan. Born April 25, 1933 in Claremont, SD, Juanita was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mable (Peterson) Barnes. Juanita was a 1951 graduate of Phoenix Union High School in Phoenix,, AZ. On April 29, 1951, Juanita married her beloved husband Walter O. Trowbridge at Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, AZ. Juanita was employed as a Court Recorder for Monroe County Probate Court working for Judge Harry Seitz. She retired after 16 years of service. She was also a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Juanita was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Monroe County Legal Secretaries Association. She enjoyed taking vacations to Arizona to visit her family, dancing, and baking cookies, especially for her grandchildren. Juanita was also a very talented seamstress and made wedding dresses for each of her daughters. Most of all Juanita enjoyed time spent with family. Juanita is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Walter, four loving children: Brenda (James E.) Hoyt of Monroe, Cynthia (John) Marcero of Monroe, Linda Trowbridge of Livonia, MI and Robert (Susan) Trowbridge of Newport, six cherished grandchildren: Joseph Liedel, James L. Hoyt, Joshua Williams, Carrie Hoyt, Christopher Williams, and Dana Trowbridge, a sister: Shirley (Gary) Cooper of Chandler, AZ and a brother: Gary (Deedee) Barnes of Colorado. In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by four brothers: Daryl, Marvin, Bryan and Norman Barnes. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation and cremation will be held. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting her family with funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
