Dear Aunt Julie,
We wish we could be there to say goodbye.
We vividly remember saying goodbye before we left for Indiana and hoping that it wouldn’t be the last time we would see you, that night was so difficult for all of us. We feel so blessed that you were a part of our lives. We miss you everyday.
We Love You,
Michael, Emily, Michael, Jack and Nicholas
Our memories of Aunt Julie always make us smile. For example, how she would always mispronounce things and those of us who heard her would always giggle. How she would get so upset when the little one’s wouldn’t eat to her liking, but would then whip out a bundle of suckers from her purse and disperse them as if she was Santa. And event though she never had kids of her own, she could have written a book on how to take care of them...whiskey on sore gums, warm olive oil for an ear ache. The thing is, she was usually right. We remember her dipping bread into steak juice and giving it our kids to suck on even before they were eating solids and I was too afraid to say anything. The fear must have shown on my face, because she would say to me “it’s good for them” and saying how bored the baby must be of eating only formula.
Michael and I would always get a kick out of visiting her at her home, because she would never let us leave without taking a couple bags of groceries she just happened to have around the house. These groceries usually consisted of Lucky Charms Cereal, pretzels, pop, kids juice drinks and candy. We always found it funny that she would buy that stuff at the store. Then guilt would set in knowing that she must have had those things around hoping that she would have more visits from the kids.
Aunt Julie was a treasure to her family. Tommy, Michael, Kiki and Justin considered her a second Mother and to Mike and Kathy’s Jidu’s, she was like another Grandmother. When I told Michael and Jack about her passing, Jack made me feel so much better with his response...”She’s in Heaven and no one is sick in Heaven”. He is so right. We know she is in Heaven watching us. Even though it is so hard for those of us who will miss her so much, it is comforting to know she is reunited with those she loved so much that preceded her in death. We KNOW that she will be our angel, especially to her little nieces and nephews. No doubt that she will be watching with pride as Austin grows into a handsome young man and an expert dirt bike rider, she will be right there with Tyler cheering on the Suns, watching Shelby giggle with her little friends, laughing at Little Michael as he tries to rope the squirrels in the back yard, getting a kick out of Carson as he goes through Nanny’s pantry to let her know that he knows where she went shopping, cheering on Jack and Houston as they play their sports and continue to challenge their parents, watching Ella as she dances and sings, she will be watching eagerly to see the kind of people that Nick, Ashlyn and Cole turn out to be and she will be rooting on Piercen as he continues to grow.
As vocal and opinionated as she could be, she had a very tender heart. She was very supportive and loyal to her family. Her love for us was unconditional and so was ours for her. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives.
We have many, many more memories of Aunt Julie and we wish we were there to share them with everyone.
We love her so much.

My Aunt Julie was a great woman! She will be missed. Aunt Julie walked to the beat of her own drum and never let anyone or anything get in her way. She loved her family especially her nieces and nephews since she never had any children of her own. Aunt Julie was the "FUN" Aunt and will be greatly missed.............
I love you and will miss you Aunt Julie.
