Mary June Atkinson Beecroft
June was born in 1935, in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, the only child of Earl Clifford Atkinson (1893-1988) and Mary Maud Anderson Atkinson (1902-1945) of Roney's Point, West Virginia.. She attended Triadelphia Grade School, Elm Grove, and graduated from Triadelphia High School, Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1952. In June, 1955, she graduated from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in Wheeling, West Virginia, as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at that hospital for a time, and later at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. September 9, 1954, June was married to Floyd Dale Beecroft, at Roney's Point United Presbyterian Church by Rev. John Gray. Dale's parents were Floyd Edmund Beecroft (1910-1992) and Lorena Janet Boyd Beecroft (1912-2003) of Elm Grove, West Virginia.In 1956 Dale and June moved from West Virginia to Phoenix, Arizona, where their two sons Allen(Marcie) Dale, born in 1957, and David (Karen) Robert, born in 1958, joined the family. Two grand-children; Daniel Robert Beecroft, born in 1984 and Kelli Ann (Scott) Beecroft Parker, born in 1985,Great Grandson,Caiden Scott Parker born in 2011. Dale retired in 1990 after a career of 35 years with Arizona Public Service Company of Phoenix, Arizona. In 1993 Dale and June moved from Phoenix to Payson, Arizona, to enjoy their retirement in that small mountain town. Their son Allen died in Phoenix in 2009. June is a life member of the Northern Gila County Genealogical Society. A Memorial Service may be scheduled at a later date.
