Simpson, Kenya D.
aka Big Crip, passed away on June 3, 2016. Kenya Simpson was born on January 21, 1972 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of Mike and Clydean Simpson. Kenya attended school at Percy L. Jullian Elementary School, South Mountain and Central High Schools. Kenya married longtime girlfriend Renea and their union ended after a few years of marriage. There were no children from this union. Kenya is preceded in death by his Mother, Clydean Simpson and Brother Nathan Simpson. He is survived by his Dad Mike, Stepmother Barbara, Sisters Michelle and Sarah Simpson, Brothers Mike Jr, and Travis Simpson. Kenya's children are Daughters Porsha, Lateeana, Julasha, and Kenyella and Son Kenya Jr. Two grandchildren and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Kenya will be remembered for his personality, smile and gregariousness. There will be a viewing at Elevate Christian Church, 4655 South 16th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85040 on Friday, June 17 at 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A celebration of life service will be held at the same church on June 18, 2016 at 10:00AM, Reverend Raymond Walker Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Internment: Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2500 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, Arizona 85009. Repast: American Legion Post #65, 1624 East Broadway Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85040.
